Despite making enquiries on ecotile’s flooring, S G Baker, world renowned packaging company, had their doubts. Their damaged and uneven floor was beginning to impact heavily. Showing clients where a product is being manufactured, or giving them a tour of a factory and office, gives the deal a familiar air. Customers tend to feel more valued, which makes holding these appointments crucial to business. However, S G Baker’s floor being as it was, they were reluctant to do so. Our rep, Chris Kenny, went as far as to say it was ‘prehistoric’!
Admittedly, most customers are initially unconvinced that ecotile can withstand the pressures of their working environment and S G Baker was no different. Chris took them to visit car firm Audi, who succeeded in instilling confidence by showcasing the work we had completed for them. Reassured by their findings, S G Baker agreed to a six month trial, in which we laid our flooring in a small, specified area and kept in touch to ensure it was doing its job!
Satisfied that their floor was in good hands, ecotile were called back to begin the installation. We started by levelling the floor with a cement compound then got to work. We worked around them and left their own labour undisturbed, ensuring no need for temporary plant closure, which they were very much impressed with.
S G Baker are now extending their recommendations of ecotile to not only other S G Baker factories but also other companies, encouraging Chris to bring prospective clients onto their factory floor. They are finally proud of their work environment and ecotile takes great satisfaction in the knowledge that we provided that for them. Job done.
