FIBREGLASS BASE
suregrip is manufactured using GRP as the base. All the following data refers to the GRP sheets. They are manufactured from thermosetting polyester resins and reinforced with glass fibre. A polyester film is applied to the external surface during manufacture for increased weather resistance. The GRP sheets are robust and shatter resistant. They will not soften or become brittle when exposed to high or low temperatures, incorporate UV light stabilisers, fire retardants and diffusing additives and comply with BS4154 "Corrugated Plastic Transluscent Sheets made from Thermosetting Polyester Resins"

2. AGGREGATE
The aggregate used to create the anti-slip surface of suregrip is black silicon carbide to provide a tough and durable grip with a long lifespan.

3. RESIN
Isophtalic resin with good chemical resistant properties is used to seal the surface of suregrip ensuring that the silicon carbide aggregate can not become detached from the GRP sheet. The resin is compatible with the resins used in the manufacture of the GRP sheet to ensure that delamination can never occur.
